Coffee in One Hand, Laptop in The Other

I finally decided that it is time to get serious about my blog. Not necessarily for money or clothes, but just to document my life for future purposes. Most people I know from my hometown, Palm Springs probably thinks I have fallen off the edge of the earth, or hiding in a cave. It has actually been quite the opposite. I am 19 years old, and I am an account manager at a digital marketing company called Stylesmith. I can't ever say this out loud without an explanation because it's unheard of for a teenager to have a real life job, while attending college. This year I will be traveling to several places in the U.S. and heading to Japan for fashion week! Submerging myself in the adult world has made me a lot different than other people I know. I don't understand Sororities, I barely have any time for anyone, and I fall asleep by 9pm. Most people say I am a 40 year old stuck in a 19 year old body (I listen to Taylor Swift to stay young).
Now that you know a little about me, I am here, in my old soccer tee, challenging myself to blog AT LEAST once a week about my adventures and clothes.

Sincerely,
Gab.

MAGIC Market Week

One of our clients at work is MAGIC Trade Show including WWDMAGIC, FN PLATFORM, and SOURCING at MAGIC. This means we take a road trip to Vegas for a week every six months. Yes, this is a work venture, but that never stops us from having fun! We get to work with bloggers from all over the world and bring them to MAGIC. Some of them have become very good friends of mine, like Jazmine. We completely bonded the first time we met! The only sucky part is that she lives all the way in London, England. Anyways, The week was filled with exciting events, like sitting at the blogger round table with Kristen Cavallari for her Chinese Laundry line, getting to ask Joyce Azria of BCBGeneration questions, and watching all of the fashion shows within the marketplace. My favorite moments lay with spending time with my team and friends. I never have more fun than I do with them. I struggled for a long time trying to find people who I fit in with. We are all so different, but I can tell the team cares about me as much as I care about them, and that was something I never expected to happen to me, but I am so glad I did. I can't wait to go back in February!

Los Angeles County Fair

My BFF/Roommate, Kathleen and I decided to go to the Los Angeles County Fair. Given that we are college students and have close to no funds, we got our tickets on Groupon and were not planning on participating in any rides. Although to most, this would be detrimental, we had an amazing time! We ate food, walked through fabulous exhibits, and had some time to take pictures around the fairgrounds!

Nothing is better than spending your day reminiscing about old times, laughing, and eating with your best friend.
